Stone Crushing and Screening Systems

Quality crushing and screening systems must be used to obtain raw materials that are very important for sectors such as construction, road and mining. For these sectors, the crushing and screening plants, which enable the stones used to obtain the raw material to become functional, need to be projected, designed and commissioned by expert teams. Materials with many mechanical properties are used in the installation of crushing and screening plants. The correct selection of the material to be used in these systems is very important and will prevent future problems in the facility.

Crushing and screening plants are made in two types as fixed and mobile. Fixed systems have high engine power and are mostly preferred in the mining sector. The fixed crushing and screening system to be made according to the standards for the mine quarries that will operate for many years will contribute to the long-term quarries. Mobile crushing and screening systems are mostly used in the processing of minerals such as limestone, limestone and marble. The portability of the system enables it to perform crushing and screening works in different locations in a short time.

Importance of Engine Power and RPM in Crushing and Screening Systems

With the discovery of electric motors, the development of the industry in many areas has accelerated. While Electric Motors are used as a standard in many fields, they are produced by motor manufacturers for crushing and screening systems with special kW power and speed. The motors used in crushing operations are high power motors and they also have three-phase compensation systems. The speed of the motors, which are activated by the magnetic field created by a constant power factor, varies according to the processes in which they are used. Engines that have passed the necessary tests in engine production facilities are used in crushing and screening systems.

The engine power and speed selected are very important in the production of crushing and screening systems. The mechanical structure that forms the backbone of the system is AC asynchronous motors. Engine characteristics are selected according to the state of crushing and screening. These choices must be made by engineers. While the engine power is selected at low power in processes such as clay stone, marble and granite, engine power is selected at maximum in mining and stonemasonry sectors. Since the engines produced for crushing and screening processes are special, they should only be used in this sector. The vibro motors used in sieving operations are different from the motors used in crushing. Vibro motors are motors that perform the sieving process with the bidirectional vibrations they produce.

Di-Çelik New Generation Mobile Crushing and Screening System Models

Crushing and screening processes may vary according to the sector. Different types of crushing and screening processes require different systems. The installation of crushing and screening systems requires a high engineering process and engineering branches with different disciplines come together for the system to be produced. Di-Çelik Makina provides its customers with high-tech facilities in mobile crushing and screening systems with the Star series. In addition to 6 different models in the Star series, it also installs systems with different features according to the usage blood.

The features of the mobile crushing and screening STAR series according to the models are as follows.

  1. STAR-70: The first model of the Star series, STAR-70 is an easy-to-carry system with a weight of 38,000 kilograms. The engine power of this medel is 175 kW and it crushes and screens between 70 and 90 tons per hour.
  2. STAR-90: This model has a total weight of 45,000 kg and a feed size of 450 mm. The engine power of the system is 210 kW. The system performs between 90 and 120 tons of crushing and screening processes per hour.
  3. STAR 100: The weight of this model is 53,000 kilograms and the engine power is 270 kW. It can crush and screen 130 to 160 tons per hour.
  4. STAR 120: This model has a feeding size of 700 mm and a weight of 62,000 kilograms. Its engine power is 325 kW and its capacity per hour is 170/250 tons/hour.
  5. STAR 150: This model is a powerful crusher system. Its engine power is 416 kW and its capacity is 250/350 tons/hour.
  6. STAR 180: This model is the most powerful and heavy mobile crushing and screening system produced and has a power of 475 kW and a weight of 77,000 kilograms. Its capacity is 350/450 tons/hour.

Thanks to the advantages of the STAR series, it is possible to quickly carry out large amounts of crushing and screening. All components of the series are gathered on a single chassis. This makes it possible to transport the system with a truck. Since these systems work as a closed circuit, it is sufficient to be used by one operator. The systems having hydraulic units facilitates maintenance operations together with easy fixing.

Technicial Specification of Crushing and Screening Systems

Some knowledge is required to make crushing and screening systems. Information such as the work to be done, the material to be used and the place where the system will be installed provide the features of the system to be built. There are basically three materials that form the building blocks of crushing and screening systems. These; high power motors, conveyor belts, reducers. Another consideration in the designed system is how the material to be broken will be transferred to the system. If this transfer is made by bucket or truck, the design of the system will differ.

Mechanical and electrical engineers determine the competence of the technicial specifications of the systems. While mechanical engineers determine the power and speed of the reducer to be used in the system, electrical engineers make the determinations regarding the electric motors. Gearboxes, which are used to reduce the speed of the motors used to determine the speed of the conveyor belts in the system, are also used in crushing processes.

Production Stages in Crushing and Screening Plants

Crushing and screening plants are usually installed in locations close to where the ore to be processed or the stones are extracted. Firstly, the material to be crushed is transported to the crushing and screening systems used by companies producing raw materials for sectors such as construction and road and the crushing process takes place. The system suitable for the desired size of the material to be broken is used. After the crushing system made according to the hardness and size of the material, the sieve system is used to obtain the desired material. After the raw material is obtained with vibrating vibro motors, it is sent to the place to be used.

As the crusher types; Engineering calculation is essential for crushers such as jaw crusher, vertical shaft crusher, tertiary crusher, secondary impact crusher, primary impact crusher to perform the best crushing operations and to create the best screening systems. For this reason, the people who will install these systems must have the necessary training and knowledge.
